This beautiful terracotta pot is steeped in history and character. Originally used by French gemmeurs - skilled workers who tapped pine trees for resin - each pot has its own unique marks, drips and patina from years of use. Because they were made to collect resin, not grow plants, you’ll notice they don’t have drainage holes.
The textured drips and aged clay give them such a rustic, tactile quality - they’re perfect for adding charm and a sense of story to your shelves, greenhouse or garden table.
My styling tip: Use as a decorative plant holder (pop a smaller potted plant inside), or leave empty to show off its raw beauty and texture.
Whether indoors or out, these antique terracotta pots make a wonderful addition to any collection of antique ceramics or garden vessels.
Our antique pieces have lived a life before reaching you, and with that comes a story told through their aged patina, worn textures, and natural imperfections. You may notice small chips, cracks, or variations in color—these aren’t flaws, but rather a testament to their history and authenticity.
