A simple antique French earthenware bowl in a warm terracotta glaze. It has a softly worn surface and a lovely, honest shape that feels very typical of old French kitchen pieces.
Originally made for everyday use, it would have been used for soup, milk, or simple desserts. I’m always drawn to these small, practical bowls because they add warmth and character without feeling fussy.
It’s an easy piece to mix in with white ceramics, aged oak furniture, and natural linens.
How I’d style it:
I’d keep it on a kitchen shelf to hold sea salt or garlic, or use it on a coffee table with a few nuts. It also looks beautiful layered into a stack of neutral bowls for that relaxed, collected feel.
Our antique pieces have lived a life before reaching you, and with that comes a story told through their aged patina, worn textures, and natural imperfections. You may notice small chips, cracks, or variations in colour—these aren’t flaws, but rather a testament to their history and authenticity.
